Just because you live in a rental property doesn’t mean that you can not have the same protection from the electric shock that people who live in their own properties have. It is now Law that all properties are required to have a safety switch within three months of the sale of a domestic residence constructed prior to 1992.

If you do not believe a safety switch is installed at the rental property you can:

  • Firstly talk to your landlord or rental agent.  Or call the Electrical Safety Infoline on 1300 650 662
