QLD Govt 2018 Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate
Receive a $300 rebate when you purchase a 4-star energy rated air conditioner from 1 Jan 2018.
The Queensland Government has launched the Affordable Energy Plan: making electricity more affordable. The plan, which started on 1st January this year, has committed $300 million of funding to help improve the energy efficiency of homes and small businesses across Queensland. $20 million of that has been allocated to the energy-efficient appliance rebate to help households upgrade to more energy-friendly 4 Star air conditioners, washing machines, and fridges.
Rebates available
To be eligible for the rebate all you have to do is purchase a 4 Star (minimum) air conditioner after 1 Jan 2018 for use in your home and submit an application with proof of purchase. The rebates are as follows:
- $300 for a 4 Star energy rated air conditioner
- $250 for a 4 Star energy rated fridge
- $200 for a 4 Star energy rated washing machine
Styles of air conditioner eligible for the rebate:
- split system
- ducted
- window
4 Star Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners
Mitsubishi Electric offers a range of 4 Star energy rated cool only and reverse cycle split system air conditioner models including:
- MSZ-GL25
- MSZ-GL50
- MSZ-GN25 – cool only
- MSZ-EF25
- MSZ-FH25
