Sounds crazy right? But ceiling fans can actually help move the warm air around the room. If you are running your reverse cycle air conditioner you should run your ceiling fan in reverse mode.
Remember that hot air rises, so the movement from the fan pushes the warm air up and then down the walls, gently moving warm air around the room.
The use of ceiling fans can lower your heating bill in winter by up to 10%.
