What is Ducted Air Conditioning?
A ducted AC system consists of a central fan coil unit hidden in your roof cavity (or under the floor). This unit pumps cooled or heated air through a network of flexible ducts to outlets (vents) in each room of your house.
The Key Difference: unlike split systems where you have a box on the wall in every room, ducted systems are centrally controlled. With modern “Zoning” technology, you can close off the airflow to empty rooms (like guest bedrooms) so you aren’t paying to cool the whole house when you’re just watching TV in the lounge.

Yes, in most cases. As long as you have sufficient roof space (cavity) to house the indoor unit and the ducting, we can retrofit a system. We will inspect your roof void during our quote visit to confirm.
If you try to cool 4+ rooms at once, a modern ducted system is often more efficient than running 4 separate split systems. With “Zoning” enabled, you can achieve very low running costs by only cooling the rooms you are occupying.
