Electric Hot Water Systems available in Brisbane again
The Queensland Government recently reviewed the current laws mandating that electric hot water systems could not be installed in new buildings or as a replacement in areas with main gas. These laws have meant that in many cases families had to pay for more expensive hot water systems when their existing electric hot water system gave in.
With the review completed, it has been decided that these laws will be repealed sometime in early 2013. Homeowners will be able to install hot water systems that best suit their budget and needs.
So if you are looking at getting a new hot water system in Brisbane and was disappointed you couldn’t get electric, maybe try and hold off. When the laws are repealed, you will be able to get that electric hot water system.
