Solar Power and Clean Energy
The installation of solar hot water and solar panels has had a massive growth. Approximately more than 17,800 Queenslanders have received the Bligh Government solar hot water rebates since the processing of payments began last July 2010.
“Installed solar power in Queensland has climbed by 84% in just 13 months to 461 megawatts” (source 15.06.11 Media release QLD GOV)
While Queenslanders are installing solar power technology in their homes and business the Qld government is aiming to undertake a range of initiatives in the state to make solar power more accessible for everyone.
Above is the Minister for Energy and Water Utilities Stephen Robertson highlights the Queensland Government’s ongoing investment in clean energy in the 2011-12 State Budget.
