How To Replace A Broken Fuse
Struggling with a broken fuse??
It has happened to all of us at one point or another, you turn on your stereo, start the microwave or put your toast down and, boom, the power is out. Chances are, you have blown the fuse. Lucky for you, this is a pretty simple thing to fix.
“Grab a torch and head to your fuse box and look for the blown fuse”
Depending on fuse type, you will either see a blackened area, or one of the switches will be flipped, facing the opposite way from the others. Before you fix the fuse, you need to go back and turn off all the electrical equipment that is connected to the fuse. If you are not sure, turn off whatever you turned on that triggered the blown fuse and anything else close by as generally items in close, proximity is connected to the same fuse.
Once you have done this, you can go back to the fuse box. If you have circuit breaker switches then it is as simple as flicking the switch, this will reset it and you are good to go. If you have an older board then you will have to check the rating of the blown fuse, get the fuse wire that matches this rating, wrap the wire around the fuse and the terminals and then replace the fuse
