The Block launches – meet the teams!

The Block is finally back on TV! The 14 ^th season of Australia’s favourite Reality TV Show has launched and we’re excited for the upcoming constructions and transformations (oh, and the drama).

• Bianca & Carla

Commonwealth Games netball champion Bianca Chatfield (36) and former Melbourne Vixens shooter Carla Dziwoki (35) coupled up to take on the challenge of their lifetime. Both contestants are not only into fitness, but also into renovating. Bianca’s dad is a builder, so she might have some reno tricks up her sleeve.

• Kerrie & Spence

The participants of the next team are 49-year-old Kerrie and 47-year-old Spence from Barossa Valley in South Australia. The married couple might have very good chances, as Spence is a qualified carpenter.

• Hans & Courtney

Airline captain Hans (37) and flight attendant fiancé Courtney (33) from Perth are both on cloud nine (pun intended). They are hardworking and willing to learn new things. Hans has gained experience in renovating both of their investment properties and the couple is keen to create something extraordinary.

• Norm & Jess

Norm (40) and his bride-to-be Jess (33) from the Sunny Coast in Queensland are parents to two kids and form our next team. Norm owns the building business Mr Build and future-Mrs-Build Jess works as a breakfast radio host and owns a small business called Sick Sit, a childcare support service.

• Hayden & Sara

Sara (31) and her husband Hayden (45) are parents to Harlow Rose and live in Bondi, NSW. Sara is a former flight attendant, now a stay-at-home mum and Hayden is a construction Project Manager with over 20 years of experience, so he will make up for renovation newbie Sara…

The new contestants will work their magic on five luxurious apartment spaces in the Gatwick building located in St Kilda, Melbourne for their chance to take home $100,000 AND the profit made from the public auction.
