All our staff have been trained in safety procedures that we have recently put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and will apply for the foreseeable future to ensure the health of our customers and staff. We’re also offering a No touch tradesperson visit that includes additional behavioural measures to ensure that social distancing guidelines are adhered to, and physical contact minimised. Here is a checklist to help you prepare;

  1. Is your hot water system operating properly – does it have any leaks and is it heating properly? Are the valves still working properly? We believe that hot water is an essential service and we can check that for you before the cold weather starts in a few weeks.
  2. Clean Water – Are any of your taps leaking or broken, have you changed the filter in your water filter, is your rainwater tank clean and able to supply water for you?
  3. Toilets and Sewerage – are all of your toilets working properly? Are any of your sewerage drains blocked or about to block or do you have any unusual gurgling or bubbling going on from your pipes? We can use our drain cameras to check for you.
  4. Gas – do you need any extra gas outlets to enjoy BBQs?
  5. Smoke alarms – are your smoke alarms working and are the batteries working?
  6. Lights – are all of your lights working? Do you have outside security lighting? If you are working at home would you like to save some power by installing LED lights now?
  7. Powerpoints – do you need any extra powerpoints for that new fridge or freezer you just bought to store extra food or to set up your home office? Would you like some powerpoints that also have a phone charger built in to make it easier for everyone at home?
  8. Is your switchboard working properly, do you have surge protection and circuit protection, would you like a generator inlet added or solar added? Old switchboards can be replaced in a day if you have concerns.
  9. Would you like your solar PV fixed or do you want a quality solar system added to your home now?
  10. Is your TV reception good, do you need security cameras to protect your stash of toilet paper and hand sanitiser? Would you like a remote video intercom installed so you don’t have to get too close to the delivery drivers?
  11. Is your air conditioner dirty or mouldy and in need of sanitation – we can do a blue bag deep clean on your air conditioner and completely clean it inside and out with the right chemicals for peace of mind. In fact, even though new air conditioners are starting to become in short supply, we have pre-purchased over $200,000 of stock so we beat the supply issues out of China. Install one now for winter to make sure you have adequate cost-effective heating.
  12. Will your washing machine, dishwasher, stove and oven last through the next few months – would you like a service or repair done now or a new one installed? Washing will be an essential service in the coming months.
  13. Would you like our carpenters to build a chook run, repair your stairs, install a shed or anything else around the home to help prepare?

A Fallon tradesperson will talk you through the details of the job and proceed once you’re satisfied/comfortable with the quote.
